Owners moved, leaving him behind. Roamed the streets injured, sick, no where to live. A kind waitress fed him every day.
Over the next few months, the owner of this website came to town for breakfast. The cat and him kept an eye on each other when they could, and sometimes having a bit of a conversation. One day, while waiting for his wife, the editor sat down on a cinder block. The cat seized his opportunity and darted along the side street talking loudly as he came closer to the editor. Finally, that cat made a straight line across the street, and jumped into the editors lap. He turned around, loudly purring, rolled up, and went to sleep. Some patrons were in shock, a few made note, cant believe he jumped in that mans lap. The editor laughed, and took his new friend home.
For the next three years, those two were inseparable. Mr. Kershey snuggled up with his new friend every night, and they were in constant communication with each-other. Wherever Mr. Kershey's new friend went, he was there as well. They continuously talked to each other for those three years together.
He demanded 24/7 attention and was always in great need of being pampered. Mr. Kershey went home with the editor in The Spring of 2015. Mr. Kershey Passed away in The Spring of 2018.
Mr. Kershy lived the life of a King for those short three years with his loving new family. Rest assured, Mr. Kershey never lived in misery, until his final day when he got ill. He is laid to rest in our back yard, next to Miss Petty, our Maine Coon Cat. He was buried in his favorite blanket, under one of his favorite guard posts. R.I.P.
